The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, was the epitome of chic as she stepped out on Tuesday sporting an elegant low ponytail.

But it’s the not the first time the royal has shunned her signature Chelsea blow dry in favor of a more daring ‘do — she has previously experimented with braided buns, low chignons and even pearls.

The striking brunette paired with ponytail with a grey Jane Taylor hat that matched her chic Alexander McQueen checked coat dress.

The royal, who is just over 12 weeks pregnant, was showing off a hint of a baby bump.
