Everyone loves the Golden Globe Awards. While waiting for the winners to be announced, many viewers are waiting for that one person who will say or do something that will shock the crowd. While Jodi Foster is usually known for her quiet demeanor, Sunday night was just her time to vent. She was not one who had her hair done at the Harisay Salon in Long Island, but her sophisticated bob cut, gorgeous dress and speech left people talking. Jodi received the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award for her years of movie making. She has been a fan favorite in a great deal of films, but has always seemed to maintain some sort of discretion regarding her personal life, until now.

She initially started by telling people that she was gay, in a beating around the bush kind of way. She talked about coming out to her fans, something she had done back in the Stone Age to her family and close friends. She announced that she was currently single, but she was once in love with Cydney Bernard. She talked about her life and the ups and downs both in love and in the business.Later, she shocked fellow A-listers by her emotional tears and public announcement that she was done with movies, in so many words. The speech was all over the place and was not only odd in parts, but left guests having a hard time following her thought process. She alarmed fans when she told them that she would not be doing this type of speech on the stage anymore. She made a metaphor about being so quite that even the dogs couldn’t hear her. Her speech was definitional all over the place and left many people wondering what was truly going on with their beloved A-lister, Jodi. Damage control was already in full swing on Monday January 14th, as they stated that Jodi was not quitting the movie industry and would be back creating films and doing what she does best.
